This painting is the first in my series on Endangered species. This rather handsome old rhinoceros, stands majestically in the grasslands, as the many folds of skin around his face and deep wrinkles hint at his age and many experiences. Live long dear rhino!

Their habitat, which includes the alluvial savanna and grasslands and riverine forest, is shrinking due to human and livestock encroachment..
